    Re: Backports, Firefox, GMail Problems

I don't have any problem with GMail.
I use FF 1.5 from mozilla website.
Maybe you can try to install it manually,
    it's also much faster than 1.07 :)

    Re: Eclipse Plug-Ins... Bulk Install?

    Sticky: Re: Firefox 1.5 Backport

It took me about 20 minutes to install FF1.5.

Poll: Re: What version of Firefox are you using?

I'm using FF 1.07 from Ubuntu now,
    and it is really SLOW!

I guess I need to install it by myself...

    Re: Firefox 1.5

I'm really happy to hear that.
I started using Ubuntu since 4.10,
and Firefox was not that slow before.

Hope FF 1.5 can enter backports soon ;)

    Re: Firefox 1.5

Is this the reason why Firefox is so slow on Ubuntu???
Every time when I try to load a page in Firefox,
I found that the cpu loading will increase up to 90-100% for a second...

    Hope Firefox 1.5...

Re: Offically supported packages don't update.

Packages like firefox are supposed to be upgraded in backports.
Without backports, they will only be upgraded when
    there are security issues.
And the backports server is empty until this morning,...

    Re: Java Questions

Actually, I don't know what your problem is.
What do you mean by "cannot find it in directories"???

You can download the latest JDK here:
