That's great! I'll leave the naming up to you. Can't wait to beta test this :)
Spherecat: I suggest you work off backstep as they have already done something similar. Only thing missing is the window preview. That smaller icons in the distance is a bit hard to click on for...
Do you mean having icons of running applications appear on the desktop instead of a dock? Or rather a taskbar but on the desktop? There's backstep which does the above. It displays running programs...
I programmed my PCA routine in Matlab. My code is easily transferred to Octave. I can't provide the program to you now as I have misplaced the USB I put it on, but roughly:

PCA was originally intended by its discoverer, Karl Pearson, as a method to find the line of best fit. Is the line of best fit what you mean?
I can only point you in that direction. I can't...
Is multiple workspaces a GUI concept? And how about Apple's expo feature?

That's because singapore sucks!! ;)
I'm going down there this weekend, will give the techies down there a yell for y'all to fix the problem :P

Dont use one LED? And set the half cycle to 1Hz :P
Are you guys running AMD64s? That could be the problem as described here: http://unitstep.net/blog/2006/08/21/getting-matlab-to-run-on-a-newer-athlon-64-x2-cpu/
Even though it's on the windows...
How bout a flip-flop circuit? Just don't connect the other LED.
Lol it's just simple matrix operations, shouldn't be hard. I'm trying to follow the inverse matrix method which doesn't seem to be working.
However, as perce suggested, Gaussian might work. I've...
Yes I know what Latex is :/ Just wondering what his reference to it meant. Marvin was using OOo Writer formula not latex.
Whats that suppose to mean lol
Thanks Marvin, I seem to have missed to mention that my matrices aren't square. Which is why i forced a square matrix by multiplying it with its transpose, then finding an inverse.
