    Ok, I see, it happens when you "sign in with your launchpad account". Then you are redirected to the main index instead of to the thread you were replying to.

    If you log in "normally" it works...

    That wouldn't make much sense. The normal way to upgrade to 11.10 is to open update manager and click on "upgrade"
