I have only tried the first one. I don't think there are any ubuntu packages. With 64-bit...
You probably just need to start it with the correct binary, ut2004-bin-linux-amd64.
e.g.
cd ut2004/System
./ut2004-bin-linux-amd64
I have now updated the guide slightly, mostly some formatting stuff and added a small troubleshooting section with what seems to be common problems. I don't really have the time to read trough all...
Thanks for this guide!
I made a Ubuntu Human-like theme for Openbox. I thought I should share it if anyone else wants it. It's attached to this post.

What kind of a graphics card do you have and what drivers are you using with it? You need to have the proprietary ati/nvidia drivers installed and working to use the XGL2 plugin.
If the sequence is not too long you could probably take a couple of screenshots from the movie and arrange them to an animated gif in Gimp. Or you could find a program that does it for you if such a...
Adding more colors is a good suggestion. I'll get to it.
@ bvc:
Good points. I'll change those things before I make the theme avaliable. And added quite a lot more icons. :)
I'm not sure when...
Thanks for all advices everybody! I'll keep them I'm mind. It will probably take quite a while before I have the time for another update though.

I decided to give Arch a try, and so far it has been really neat exept for installing the ATI drivers. The graphical installer from ATI:s website does not work on the default kernel, and the...
edit: Orunitia was faster than me...
Add "gnome-settings-daemon &" (without quotes) on startup. That will load the theme you set in Gnome.

Thanks for the how-to by the way. :)
Yes, a very nice howto. Too bad you didn't post this a week earlier when I installed Blackbox. :)
One thing though, I think it is much easier to install the package "menu" which generates a...
Nice guide! Thanks.
I also think checkinstall is a better option.
I don't think there is, but you can always try searching google for it.
A little sad thing about epsxe is that it's closed source, an executable file that only run on the platform it was compiled...
Are you sure you followed all the steps? What hardware do you use? Note that epsxe is made for i386 (common pc). If you use amd64 or powerpc it might not work.
It seems to me like there is some problems with your language settings, locales. I don't know how to fix it, but you could try searching for "locales" around the forum to get more info. Or maybe...
I'm not totally sure which package you need since I didn't get this message, but try installing libgtk1.2 and libgtk1.2-common.
I'm glad it was a benefit to you. :)
