The first two commands work fine but then when I run

upon upgrading to 13.04 from 12.10 the hdmi picture on my tv works fine but sound does not, it worked perfectly before, hdmi doesn't come up on the sound or pulseaudio menu,

I have since upgraded to 13.04 raring ringtail and I'm still having this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated
nothing with HDMI appears anywhere on any tab in pulse audio, even when playing video, all that appears are speakers (which alters the laptop speakers) and headphones, no hdmi or tv speakers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm still having this problem, if you need any more information I will happily provide it, thank you.

I managed to fix this, apparently it was some iddue with my drivers, I added sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates and ran an update, rebooted and for some reason that fixed my wifi,...
now on a completely unrelated note the mark this thread as solved isnt appearing under thread tools as usual, any ideas?
fixed this problem, apparently somehow my drivers had stopped working/been removed, i pressed ctrl+alt+t to open a terminal and ran
