    It depends on how much you build into it. Mine runs at last modpost 324 modules in and 25 Megs(5.7 MB .deb) unpacked image.:)

    You have to install the 32-bit Video driver files. If you install the nVidia binaries there's an option to install the 32-bit version alongside 64-bit. Dunno about ATI's drivers ....

    Cut back to High Quality? :) Ultra means uncompressed textures which uses Alot of video memory. Learn the art of Quake4 config tweaking for your system.

    How did you uninstall it? Did you just delete the directory or do a Uninstall Dreamweaver type thingy? Did you have 6 installed before 7 then upgraded it 7?

    You could install Fusion-icon for easy switching from Compiz<->Metacity(no glx effects desktop). It's in synaptic. Make sure to run it as a Session startup also.

    Try 'eject <device name>' (ie. eject /media/cdrom0) in the terminal. rtm -> man eject

    Workaround: burn the CD's to the disk as ISO's then mount them with Gmount-iso.
