I've solved this problem. Follow the steps that I mention here:

It's worth mentioning that it is not a hardware problem, because this doesn't happens in Windows (but I don't want to use windows!).
I have exactly the same problem. It happens when the CPU usage is high and I can't run the command "sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off", I get the "Error for wireless request". Any ideas?
I have the same problem on a MSI PR310, with atheros
I just did a clean install of Maverick I can't resume after suspending. The screen goes black and nothing happens. In Lucid I was able to suspend and resume without problems.
I'm using a 64bit AMD...

Hello. I just got an ENUTV-2 USB tv tuner and, altough it works perfect in Windows, I can't get even to "see it" in Ubuntu.
First of all, the main chip of this box is an TVMASTER TRIDENT TM5600...
I just upgraded to 8.10, and everything was great, but now I can't resume after suspending. I tried disabling the ATI/AMD proprietary drivers and it works, but I really need to have 3D acceleration....
Any news on this? I have the same UPK device and I really want to get it works...
Thanks!
