    I'm using package from my PPA (for Natty) and synclient touchpadoff=1 is working as expected.

    Did you compiled patched driver for yourself? Try then compile same version (with same configuration)...

    Attached Xorg-log when wacom-driver is not used, but waltop.

    With this settings pointer can be used, and xinput test detects pressure, but gimp not.
