Re: Valve confirms Steam coming to Linux

The number of gamers on Linux is tiny because there are no games for Linux. Once all the source based games are ported, tons of dual booters who have windows just for gaming will almost certainly...

I work at a Best Buy, not in the computer department though. You can't really blame the employees in that section for their ignorance, it is mostly the company's fault. Most of the time people...

Poll: Re: Ex-*buntu users: What do you use now?

I started on Ubuntu, then went to Arch for about 6 months until a kernel update (and my stupidity) broke a bunch of things. I'm on Fedora 12 now and its great.
  7. Re: Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Killstreak Montage

Yeah, it uses Valve Anti-Cheat instead of Punkbuster.
  8. Re: Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Killstreak Montage

I'm gonna be honest, it wasn't good. There was no editing, and 90% of the kills were with the noobtube. You should have used clips of you getting multikills, etc.
  9. Re: online jobs...any one know of any legit ones ?

I had the same job. Every shift I'd go out and get all the carts, and deal with the ridiculous places that most customers leave them. Now, any time I'm at the supermarket, I put the carts back...

Yes, I have before. Anytime I'm trying really hard to learn something new, I usually have lots of dreams about it.

    Programming in Linux

I see many people in this forum saying that programming in Linux is far superior to programming in Windows. Why is this exactly?
