I've just been copying them over, works like a charm and couldn't be simpler. Awesome.
Re my original problem, I think it must be due to the fact that I force-installed a newer mono version...
Thanks guber2, that's perfect, it even looks the same!
I've been using tomboy for years without any problems. I'm now running 17.04 and installed tomboy from the repo as usual, but it seems to be broken:
# tomboy
Unhandled Exception:...
Must be a moderator feature, I don't see that - although I'm assuming it's the same number that's shown as 'views' on the main forum list.
Well to me that's good news, it means people are still here :)
Like I said, I no longer have this problem, it disappeared and it's been fine ever since.
I always have proprietary driver and flashplugin-installer
Try this:
sudo update-ca-certificates
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately what you've described is something I always do immediately whenever I install Ubuntu, so I already had vm.swappiness=10 when I was having this issue. I'm glad it...
It's no good trying to kill pulseaudio without disabling autospawn also:
~/.config/pulse/client.conf #or /etc/pulse/client.conf
autospawn=no
... then do
pulseaudio -k
This forum used to be so active, I can't believe nobody has even viewed my post in 2 days :(

With that kind of power you can run any desktop you like, it's down to your personal preference.
It's not a hardware issue, there's probably nothing wrong with it. Try this:
sudo apt install exfat-utils exfat-fuse
If that doesn't work then you could try reformatting it with ext4 or ntfs.
You can't unmount /home while you're using it. You have to boot a live session from DVD/USB and then you'll be able to manipulate it via Gparted.
Make sure you back up your stuff first though,...
When I'm playing a video game, watching youtube or anything, my sound flickers off every few seconds and it's really annoying. I dual-boot Win10 and the same games/videos are fine there, so I can...
OK I've worked it out. CTRL-ALT-F2 gives me TTY2 and CTL-ALT-F1 sends me back. That's pretty weird.
Since I did a fresh install of Ubuntu Gnome 16.10 I can no longer get TTY with CTRL-ALT-F1 - is it just me?
I've just noticed /etc/xdg/autostart/update-notifier.desktop so I'll remove that and see what happens.
With all of the aforementioned steps taken, I'm STILL getting notifications from Gnome Software. Any other suggestions?
Yes, exactly.
This is what fixed it, thanks!
Gedit has started defaulting to root directory when opening files, this has only started happening recently and it's quite annoying. I'm NOT running it as root and I've tried reinstalling. Any...
Damn, how did I miss that? Thanks!
Well, my stuff all comes from the official repositories so my feeling is that I wouldn't know better than the experts who put it there even if I inspected...
My 50unattended-upgrades is set to auto-update everything so I don't need any reminder prompts about system updates, but Gnome Software keeps pestering me all the time before my system has had a...
Do you have a wireless mouse and the mouse wheel is scrolling too fast? If so, just unplug and plug it in again and it will be back to normal.
