    ...SUCCESS! After redownloading the iso file, I managed to install Kubuntu through Wubi via Vista using the instructions (: it works pretty well.

    Apparently, uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick, I guess the image file or something or other was messed up, but now I'm on Kubuntu and it works. Thanks for the help. (:

    I have a question. How do I enable the home size setting? It seems disabled for me when I'm reinstalling Wubi.

    I'm installing using Vista's NTFS, within its partition.

    After changing the home drive to something smaller, and opening the verbose mode, I got the following:

    What version of Windows are you using to run it? I used Vista for my install and it [sorta] works right (see posts in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=440877&page=2)

    I'm not sure if it is the hard disk driver. I'm on a SATA Western Digital, and am getting the same issue.

    I'm getting the same problem too. at 83%, it freezes. Nothing happens between the hard drive and anything else, although the "Lock" keys work perfectly well.

    Hi, I put in the settings, and yes I was able to go into the installer. However when it was formatting it appeared as if it froze and I am assuming it wasn't doing something right. so I came back and...
