I used this. It worked for me.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

I guess I should just get a media server to hookup to my tv to play the x264 files then.

Has anyone attempted to replace the dvd burner with a Blu-ray burner? Could anyone recommend a good model to buy and or a place to buy one? or is newegg.com my best option?

Your correct it is X crashing. apparently in 10.04 on my serp6 flash and firefox cause the X server to crash. I have tried finding a patch for this on my own but have been unable to get one to work....

Hello I have a very odd problem. When my laptop is running on battery power only and I am watching a flash movie or just browsing the web. It will go dark and kick me out to the gui splash login...

I own a serp6 and it is by far and away the best laptop I have ever owned. I recently replaced the hard drive with a SSD and its even faster. Bottom line is if you can afford it and you want speed...

Does anyone know if the serp6 has space for a second hard drive?

Perm blacklist seems harsh... the fn f1 worked great. The one place I did not look was on all the function keys doh!
