    The machine was a Pentium M 1.4 GHz with 1 GB RAM. I didn't try hibernate at that time and I didn't care as it was running 24x7. But apparently I don't have it anymore so I can't test...

    I just noticed that the RV740 initialization fix has been backported into 2.6.32 kernel for lucid.

    With that kernel the KVM module problems are gone.
