Here's a "gran dosis" of good Karma for you!
I've dealt with RAID for years on both Windows and Linux and have been 100% Linux for eight years. I just bought a new Asus ZenBook UX51 which comes...
Same problem for all of my systems.
Actually, this isn't solved, you just found a work around.
I'd like to know why this is happening and why it wasn't reported in beta testing.
You have this tagged as Lubuntu - running Unity?
Just mis-tagged?
Have been running it for two or three weeks. Perfect integration with PCFMan. I installed it on my wife's laptop desktop and she just drags and drops new photos there so she can share them on her...
Can you reply with a little more detail on the errors?
For instance, if you're getting something like:
Temporary failure resolving ‘security.ubuntu.com’
it could mean a DNS issue.
But...
I run LXMenu on all of my systems so I can make menu changes using the GUI approach. You might give it a try, I've long forgotten where any of the files reside as this takes care of it for me.
...
There are a couple of ways to get it back: manual entries in *.desktop files, see here for examples: http://wiki.lxde.org/en/Main_Menu
Or.....I install LXMenu Editor on all of my systems as I run...
That doesn't make sense. I am running 12.04 on a 2004 Toshiba laptop/Intel Pentium M 725 / 1.6 GHz and a 2006 Dell laptop/Intel Pentium M 755 / 1.73 GHz. And am posting this on the old Dell.
Thank you very much! This is a great addition to Lubuntu - it's great!
The quick answer is no. With Lubuntu, you are using the LXDE desktop which is much lighter than the Gnome desktop.
So you have to choose Lubuntu with LXDE or use Mint with MATE.
:D Yep....I went to answer and JKyleOKC had already taken care of it.
And, I've held my tongue on the hard left turn into the brick wall regarding not going the UUID route.
You didn't mention if you are running or have disabled macros. That's the first place to look for bad guys coming out of the MSFT Office into the Libre Office.
It's getting late here, and I've had a long day. So I won't be able to offer troubleshooting tips, but can point you here: http://pclosmag.com/html/Issues/201010/page07.html where there are plenty of...
This is a very common bug for Lubuntu 12.04. I have submitted no less than 1,000 reports from many systems, yet it doesn't get much attention from the Lubuntu team.
I've messed around with...
I use HPLIP, the latest version is working perfectly.
http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/downloads.html
Chrome version: 12.0.742.100
Ubuntu Linux 12.04 also confirmed with Lubuntu 12.04
Using native Chrome PDF viewer, when copying a range of characters (bank account number in our case) the viewer...
Rex,
You said "download" so I interpret that as off of the HP Open Source site which is the best place to get it from.
In the case of HPLIP, it makes sense not to use the Ubuntu repositories as...
Nice, thanks for the link.
And I am just getting up off of the floor from seeing your avatar. Ohhhh the memories from 1993 and setting up an OS2 server. It was only a couple of months after that...
Mapes12, the latest version of HPLIP does correct a nice selection of known bugs. If you choose the "download and install firmware" option if offered, it will also take care of known bugs in the...
Every single Lubuntu 12.04 install has this problem. Plenty of bug reports, but not a thing mentioned here on the Ubuntu forums.
It's annoying as heck to me, and enough so that if work arounds or...
Yahoo is the worst of the webmail providers for SPAM. Not even close to anyone else.
Sad because Rocketmail from 411.com was great webmail before Yahoo bought them and run it into the ground.

Very big in the Netherlands, not so much here in Arizona. Quite a bit of difference in water.
Two points that I have discovered with 12.04 Lubuntu on 7 of my 9 systems that I upgraded to 12.04:
PCMANFM is crashing 10 times more often than 11.10, but at least now it is doing so...
Note that this thread is flagged with Lubuntu.
The difference in desktops is significant.
Hate to spit into the wind on this, but I truly wish that we could have separate distro threads. There's...
