You do not have to edit the menu.lst yourself anymore for a month or two.
It is updated automagically everytime ubuntu uppgrades its kernel so wubi will boot with the very last kernel version.

press Alt+F2, try to login in the console and type
That should give you enough space to login on next reboot.

We can do it if you translate some extra files, it will be better if we ask the NSIS programmers to add support...
21 fragments for such a file is not problematic at all. That makes an average size of 250 Mb per fragment. It won't hurt the performance in any way.
