    the problem is that compiz is apllying its window settings to conky because it loads before compiz does its thing... all you need to do is add a file somewhere (probably user folder is best)

    yeah, you can, but i was more after functionality... im not much of an aesthetist when it comes to audio player guis... in the end though, i just broke down and uninstalled xmms2 and got audacious......

    check it out... you just boot the cd, and follow the on screen instructions to solve your grub/mbr issues... its kind of a booting cure-all

    i have no idea, but it occurred to me that if you click the "save to configuration file" under the "X server display configuration" menu, then that might do something.
    it doesn't make much sense...
