Thank you coffen!
That's what I did

rmmod hid_multitouch
Dear Mrs.Crisp!
This script is wherever you feel free to save it before you make it executable.
Yours sincerely
Variona
If you modify your script by one line it actually works:
#! /bin/bash
rmmod hid_multitouch
rmmod usbhid
modprobe hid_multitouch

@FR333: Try to find out the name of your input device
xinput --list
and if it is correctly used in the touchrotate script (i.e. in the xinput part)
You don't - you use it instead. If you look at the script you'll see why. Your script only rotates the screen (the OUTPUT device by calling xrandr), touch is an input device that's why you need...
@cmongini Did it work for you with 11.04,11.10 or is it your first try? Do you mean the Touchpad/USB mouse stops working or do you mean the cursor appears strangely mirrored? If the latter then you...
You are welcome
As I had to set up a new T101MT, I took the chance to write the necessary steps into the wiki and to rewrite some parts. I hope that my explanations are easy enough to follow.
Thanks go out to all...
Hi Elizabeth,
I have a second gen screen and I have it touchrotating nicely! All you need to do is change some parameters in plippos original touchrotate script as those are written for first...
You do not have to press hard at all, positioning works very well. I can not complain about performance with Linux, as a matter of fact I was surprised it works so well under win7 - but it comes...
Did you look for hidden files? (in linux these start with .)
Maybe your trash was full (look for a folder called .trash)

@gauravm: The touchrotate script searches for an egalax input device! You have to change either the function call by adding parameters or edit the script.

@plippo: I just tested twofing 0.0.9b with Eye of Gnome:zoom and rotate picture. I attach debug.txt fyi.
It works!
Thank you

With plippos :
xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.6.0-1withoutpatchesubuntu1
finally evdev behaves like expected. Thanks Philipp!

Twofing still doesn't work for me, but that's no big problem...
By no click event I mean mouse over is recognised but when touching a button or a starter there is no reaction at all.
Calling twofing with --debug echoes:
Process fingers!
Process Fingers!...
I also tried Ubuntu Classic Session:
with twofing:

My experiences so far:
Right after installing twofing 0,0.9 I also have the problem with the "half screen" after touchrotate (I don't think it's the framebuffer as the Menu is still visible in the upper half.)

No, I also have a 2nd edition screen but my version upgrade was uncomplicated.
