Have you tried using any of those you mentioned? Only than you will understand the situation.

Whats the problem you are facing now? Did you installed the drivers from the same link I mentioned?
Try disabling
Tear free from Catalyst
and
Sync to VBLANk from compiz settings...
Dont take captain.Blubber advice as that link isi too old and filenames are obsolete.

1. Remove bcmwl-kernel-source and bcmwl-modalieses using synaptic
2. Go to system > Administration > additional drivers and activate broadcom drivers
3. Enjoy and sleep

Limit speed...turn off Wifi card power saver...Play Rhythmbox to prevent sleep/whatever....etc etc....nothing...
It will only be available in next release of Ubuntu that is 10.10 Maverick Meerkat and definitely not in released versions.
I liked the way you handled it! Anyway thats a kernel bug and Wifi disconnects due to max load...No fix yet...not even in 10.04..its worse.

Command for turning power monitoring off is
sudo iwconfig eth1 power off
your adapter could be different, Use 'ifconfig' to find correct adapter

True. It only disconnects when signal strength is low. I cant change my internal wifi card.
