    Ah you called it. Doesn't work right. Doesn't remove the Buddy List from the taskbar. Oh well, everything else is working great. Thanks.

    I got errors on the key:

    gpg: no keyserver known (use option --keyserver)

    just fyi, adept updater wants to take gaim from 1:2.0.0 back to 2:2.0.0 so it's a package in my sources.list

    ah, you showed me where to go! the alias from the command line worked, then i went to move .alias in .bashrc and in scrolling down, i saw .bashrc has the ls alias hardcoded into it.

    they all work great, except ls

    no matter what i do, ls is always the same - i want to add the -F

    i upgraded to dapper from breezy and as far as i can recall, i always had colors for file types....
