  5. [ubuntu] Re: Banshee moves the physical locations of directories when rescanning library

All of the preferences were default. I no longer use Banshee, or Ubuntu, so I cannot confirm.
  6. [ubuntu] Re: Banshee moves the physical locations of directories when rescanning library

Just because ~/Music is the default location that Banshee reads from. I didn't think it could cause issues.
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Banshee moves the physical locations of directories when rescanning library

What is really interesting is Banshee running under Ubuntu let me choose the symlinked ~/Music dir as the location of all my music, but running banshee under Arch, the option is grayed out.
  8. [ubuntu] Re: Banshee moves the physical locations of directories when rescanning library

Yeah! gogglesmm is really nice! Thanks!
  9. [ubuntu] Re: Banshee moves the physical locations of directories when rescanning library

I assume that this was happening due to the fact that my ~/Music was a symlink. I never had a chance to test it though because I installed arch linux over my ubuntu install.

    I have been...
  10. [ubuntu] Re: What OS is best for my 8gbssd 1gb ram mini 9?

I have a Dell mini 9 with a 16gb ssd (keep in mind that these are the miniPCi ssd's that actually have slightly slower r/w speeds than a standard hdd) and 2gb of ram. I have tried a few different...

    [ubuntu] Re: Ipod

What do you mean by "install your Ipod"?

If it is a brand new device, never connected to Itunes, you will have to connect it to Itunes, I don't think there is any way of getting around that. You...

[ubuntu] Re: installing on top of existing ubuntu

[ubuntu] Re: installing on top of existing ubuntu

Make sure you are set to boot from your USB drive first in your BIOS.

To remove that password and set a new one, boot a liveCD/USB and open /etc/passwd with a text editor.

    remove the "x"...

  20. [ubuntu] Re: Lexmark 2600 Series Printer (not detecting driver)

Thanks! indicator-datetime somehow was purged with Evolution. Solved!
  24. [SOLVED] Re: clock/calendar applet has disappeared from top bar.

ah yes, datetime. Still nothing though... Re-installing Evolution did not help either..
  25. [SOLVED] Re: clock/calendar applet has disappeared from top bar.
