There should be an option in Play Music that allows you to Sync Library. If not, go to your Settings Menu ==> Accounts and make sure that Play Music is set to auto sync.

If you use a torrent of the Xubuntu download, I do not believe you need to use a checksum since it does it by itself. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure it should work.

Do you have the ATI Proprietary drivers installed? If not, go to the "Additional Drivers" section of the system settings icon to install them. It should work after that.

I don't really run into support issues at all, I use matlab all the time and they have 64 bit versions, so does google chrome and firefox. The only things that have problems are older games like doom...
