Agreed, evplatt. The original thread was not started for samba printer sharing. It was for bonjour / cups printer sharing. Although it seems that samba printer sharing is having issues as well.

Printer sharing via SAMBA with the provided init edit seems to work.

But does anybody actually know what's wrong with sharing CUPS/IPP/Bonjour?

I didn't even have SAMBA installed prior to this...
