    No, I want to remove the fwupd snap, not the firmware-updater snap. So I removed fwupd that way, which previously didnt work no Idea why. then reinstalled firmware-updater. and now it launches.

    yes both show up, just the primary is blank (but has light).

    I am now up and running again. indicates that there is something wrong with the hardware, probably loose contacts due to overheating...

    probably in either graphics adapter or screen or both... it seems like the upgrade triggered it. even though it might not be primarily responsible. i let the laptop sit for a day, and i just booted...

    The system works fine, but I only see it on the external screen connected via hdmi.

    I now tested the HDMI out: No problems, just UI-wise, it would be nice to make it easier to switch between different audio outputs etc.

    Today for the first time I encountered that bug...
