+1 Seg fault with cpu rings, works fine without.
Oddly, thought I was keeping to the main repos but conky version is 1.8.0_rc1 so I must have added them in.
For anyone else looking for the location I found mine in:

Late reply, but looking for the information myself and saw your post, found mine eventually in:

Running dual screen and high res, so conky is on the right hand screen without anything covering it and some programs open around it.
When I use a single screen machine or laptop I run conky as a...
Thanks Ali, not sure if i did it correctly but it's working :) And no errors showing in the terminal.
Changed cairo_arc to cairo_arc_negative in the -- Draw background ring and -- Draw indicator...
Hi Ali, a couple of things have crossed my mind about the display of the rings, is there an easy way to get the rings to work anti-clockwise and is it possible to make them ovals?
No worries, just passing on the help that has been given to me on this thread :)
Well, I'd consider this thread the best Conky manual (have a good browse through from the start where the...
Hold down Ctrl and press C.
Have a look through the variables and settings on the links below, look at other people's conkfig's too and you will soon work it out....
As someone else suggested it would be good to have usb drives show when connected and would it be possible to use rings for temperature gauges? With a gradient of colours to represent the heat?

I used the .deb for 1.7.2 (I'm using Jaunty) but did compile 1.7.1 previously, i found any lib file it asked for wasn't necessarily found (in synaptic) but there was always a dev version with a...
Didn't think to try a space as it hadn't worked vertically (well more than one, a bit like html) in config's in the past, that did the trick though, thanks :)
First things first, where's the clapping smilie... =D> Good job Ali!
Just been playing around with it and it works great but i have a question.
If you have the rings in a conky file, without...
Nice one Crinos :)
Thanks for the offer Crinos but it's not bothering me (plus I change my config's all the time, addict alert).
There's no error normally, only sometimes on a refresh, and I only posted the error as...
Removed but it still crashes when modified, slightly different error this time:

As stated at the bottom of the 1.7.2 tour page:

Not sure if it's relevant, but I have border_width 0 in a config and get the following error using 1.7.2 when i modify a file and save it, conky sometimes refreshes correctly, but sometimes crashes...
Thanks for that Ali, been wanting that function for a while and would have probably missed it if you hadn't mentioned it :)
Added in 1.7.1.1 I think, that's when i noticed it. It's worth noting that restarting your conky file is a better way of making sure what your seeing is correct. Quite often adding content or...
You'd need a stand-out colour with a desktop pic like that, took me ages to find your conky on the screenshot ;)
Found switching to 1.7.1.1 helpful for not having to stop and restart conky all the...
Google image searched for "monitor png" and ended up here http://openclipart.org/media/files/molumen/4890
Did think about grabbing a music player and usb drive image and putting "if" statements in to show them when running before i ceased and desisted ;)
Awake for far too long yesterday, when I woke up today it appears I'd made a new config, which is a lot better than some of the rubbish I make when half asleep ;)
