Before I continue, I wanted to check in to make sure I get everything right. I finished loading the 64 bit version and it seems to be working well. No wireless detection yet.

I'm burning the CD now. Once I have the operating system reloaded, I assume I'll have to go back through the steps we previously mentioned. The only difference would be downloading the 64 bit version...

Where would I find a good copy of the 64 bit CD? Or is that sound I can download and put on a flash drive. I'm not sure how to boot from a flash...
I've tried my best to get all those files totally off of my computer. Are there any terminal commands I could use to be 100% sure everything has been purged.

Yep. I did exactly what you guys said. When that didn't work I tried running the command before actually extracting the file. Nothing.
