It did not work for me...I've installed totem-xine and no luck with that (playing a wmv complains not having the codec needed) ...even installed gxine and still no luck....

You have to chmod +x nexuiz-linux-x86_64-glx (or nexuiz-linux-x86-glx if you've got a 32 bits processor) and then run it as ./nexuiz-linux-x86_64-glx.

I've changed my ram speed settings in my BIOS to 1T (thank Titus for that) and I notice a big speed improvement in UT2004 (average FPS 90 \\:D/ ) but the glxgears fps stay the same.
