Just like to add that I'm having this problem as well AND had it in Intrepid (8.10). My chipset is intel 945GM though, and my pm-suspend.log looks pretty much the same as OP.

I tried searching to see if this topic was already posted here, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a fix or a coming fix for this issue regarding the touchpad functionality disappearing...
Would that fix work using the vanilla kernel for jaunty and the newer versions of libdrm2, libdrm-intel1 and xserver-xorg-video-intel together?

Perhaps you are right. After doing that Videoram option, while it stopped the lag, the flickering that you describe exists for me when I do the right click with firefox on fullscreen too.
I actually tried this without doing any of the major changes that were detailed in the first post. While I can't exactly tell for sure if my graphics are back to the way they were in Intrepid, I can...
