yep. its a great client. i get much faster speeds on it than i ever got on
windows + utorrent.
But downloading torrents is the main use for this old computer and the current situation is making...
my drive is not being shown in the config tool. :(

160 Gb internal HD

yep they are different kernels as you implied.
i have 24.19, 24.18 and 24.16 in the boot menu.
can i remove the 24.16 kernel altogether? will that save me some space or is it not worth it?

after some brutal tinkering i just caused another problem.
when i boot up i get duplicate entries in my grub (the linux boot manager is called grub, right?).
ie.
switch on, boot>>...

i do have an ups. but the powercutrs usually happen for a couple of hours. my ups can hold on only for 15-20 mins.
