    After many reboots, the Additional Drivers app just started working by itself. Plus it confirmed VDPAU being used on NVIDIA drivers, so I'm jolly happy :D

    Closing this tread. Managed to reinstall 12.04 using USB creator on an external hard drive rather than USB. The Revo recongnised this.
