Usually all you have to do is (providing the wireless works in Windows seven), is to boot into windows and ensure your wireless is enabled there, usually that fixes it on the re-boot.

I've just re-installed it on the other side of the HDD and I really CBA to recover windows, it was a pain in the **** anyways, so I'll just re-format the disk and then leave it.
The drive is flagged as being clean ATM, but I'll try that when I get home.

what's partedmagic - does that boot you into like an XP Live CD? I can't see the partitions in G-parted :(
Well my problem is that I can't access windows at all. So I can't go back into it.
Please use code tags
I have installed Ubuntu again on the other end of the HDD. I can't even see the XP file system in it though, which I can do if I boot from a Live CD. I installed BURG also in order to check the OSs...
That's exactly what I wanted to, however I can't create another partition to put Lucid in, as the install disk wont recognise any of the partitions, neither will Gparted. Can you get the Adobe suite...
Thanks for the quick replies, as I said though, I can't see anything in Gparted, it shows the HDD as being completely empty, but with only 111GB, not the full 121GB, which is strange... the only...
Here's my boot info (using the boot info script):
Boot Info Script 0.55 dated February 15th, 2010
============================= Boot Info Summary:...
Hi, I have been dual-booting Windows XP and Ubuntu 10.04. Ubuntu wasn't working properly and so I wanted to re-install it, so I backed up my data and took screen shots of my settings. Under some very...
Thanks for that, the same thing was happening to my system. That appears to have fixed it.
I'm glad to hear that my pain causes you pleasure. Although I will admit, I'd do the same (bit of a sadist?). I am now fully educated in the art of CODE tags, thanks souly to Mr Goombie, so than you...
Dear MR Goombie,
I understand that, however obviously I chose to not use a code tag, purely due to the fact that I wanted to frustrate you, as that is all I'd ever want to do. It could never be that...

I have my clock folder in home/.config/cairo-dock/extra/cairo-clock and if you drop the clock themes into there, you can proceed to activate the clock in your dock by changing the theme(it'll appear...
dw, I've done it with Ubuntu Tweak, however need to still change the login prompt...
Did you just copy the picture over and then change the name to: "warty-final-ubuntu.png"?
That doesn't work for me, there are loads of other pictures in that directory for you?
Sorry, what directory did you put the new picture into to change the login background? The code given for the terminal doesn't work for me
Yeh, that's fine but that only works for the Gnome menu - one icon only - whereas I want to change it on the custom menu - were it shows the Applications, Places and System menus on the panel.
Thank you all for replying, neither the black&red icon theme or the Last amazing grays (the set I'm now using) icon set are in my icons folder. So where can |I find them? Or is there another way to...
Anybody?
okay, the link I gave you explains it all (in terms or installing GRUB2). GRUB is basically like a menu that gives you links to the different operating systems on your system as soon as you boot-up....
