I haven't, but I am currently going through several other distros if the next update doesn't fix 80% + of the issues.
So let me start by appologising if any or all of this goes over issues that have already been solved. I have been all over the forum, omgubuntu, and about a half dozen other sites trying to find...
I just updated using 4.13.12, startup is still a little slower than 17.04, but shutdown is fine.
The kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ worked fine.
Holy god, thank you. I have been trying to get the internal card working since I got the computer. I went through 353 comments on the bug report and you did more in 2 lines of terminal code :)
So do...
I probably should have listed this before.
The first step of the setup process works as before, but the sudo make install and modprobe steps give different results than before.

Here you go,

No effect.
So I just updated to 16.04 yesterday, and I got a few errors during the update, but my main one is that my USB wifi stick isn't working anymore.
Before I had to reinstall the driver after each...
Sorry everybody, I took the cowards way out.

One way or another chili555 always ends up helping. Thanks...
Yeah thats what I figured.
@Lenovo-Edge:~$ ndiswrapper -l
netr28 : invalid driver!
netr28x : driver installed
Sorry about that
colin@Lenovo-Edge:~$ ndiswrapper -lnetr28 : invalid driver!

So I think I installed it, but still no reaction, did I do something wrong, or is a w7 driver just not doing it?
@Lenovo-Edge:~$ cd...
My problem now is that I have never installed a windows driver and am not sure how to go about it with or without the ndiswrapper.
The driver is 7/8/8.1 all 32 and 64
My computer is 64
So I shut off fast startup, but I am still getting the no boot image found message.
However if I disable the secure boot I can load Windows. So I guess thats that.
Thanks.
I have the driver, but I have never installed a windows driver into ubuntu. Does anybody have a link to a quick guide or know the terminal commands.
Everything is in the Downloads folder by the way.
So the wifi card on my new computer isn't supported yet.
Bug report if any coders want to solve it and make my life better: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1436940
So I bought...
UEFI is the only boot mode that is listed in the BIOS menu.
So I installed 15.04 on my new Lenovo Edge 15 last week and with the exception of the wireless card not being supported everything is going great.
However I can't get Windows 10 to load. It shows...
Well hell, does anybody know of a way around this other than a cord or dongle?
Any brilliant coders out there that would like to write a quick driver :)
So I got a new Lenovo Edge 15 (Not the think pad) and I installed 15.04 on it. The wireless isn't showing up. I can't even see the wifi to turn it on and off.
I had this problem a few years ago, but...
bios So I can't get into BIOS yet, but I did figure out how to boot from the USB. It is similar to qamelian's 2nd link.
For anyone ells that needs it in the future if you hold down shift while...
So I just got a new computer.
Lenovo Edge 15, i7, 8G ram, 1t
Model 80k9
My problem is that I can't get to the BIOS to load up the USB. I have tried f1, f10, f11, f12, delete, and fn f11.

It worked, and sorry about the stupid typo on my first attempt.
When I ran it I got this:
