I'm currently using 9.04 because it is pretty fast and its close to release so i figured it is safe to upgrade and beat the rush.
I would try some screenlets. The system monitor screenlet should cover this. There are also a few that just show network status.
I was just curious as to what everybody's favorite screenlet(s) are. I currently use the HAL9000 and the system monitor screenlet.
