Again, I'm running gentoo, but after the last update the keyboard is lighting up again. No control with the FN-Z, just the timer after a key-press. I videoed it this time for evidence.

It was working when I posted that. One would think that disabling the acpi for it would make it work, but the acpi is a black hole in my knowledge.

I wish I knew enough on the subject to have tested what was happening when it was working. After I did a complete shutdown and restart I figured it was here to stay.
