    Looks like it was indeed a bad HD making it hang. I replaced the drive with another 1TB I have and it is working great.

    I boot from sdc in the bios, I have also rearranged the drives used other drives for the boot disc and all render the same result.

    I forgot to mention but I tried the Ubuntu boot-repair and it...
