  1. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

Yes you can - the tweaks are a bit technical that were on my first post but here they are again. They are not too bad but you do have to go into the terminal and type in the gksudo nautilus command....
  2. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

No clue why they say that - probably because it is very poorly supported in comparison to all the fancy and useful software they developed for Windows that doesn't work on Linux at all - maybe even...
  3. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

Mine in 64 bit is still not working unless plugged in - glad yours is all good though! Are you using 32 bit?
  4. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

That's great! So you got the scanner to work with wireless after all. How?
  5. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

Maybe your trying to scan with wireless? You cannot scan wireless (wirelessly?) with linux and this printer. You will have to be connected through a usb port to scan. If that's not the problem...
  6. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

I suppose in your case there may be a problem because of the restore. I know that I had to completely uninstall my other Canon printer (Pixma 350) to get this one to install correctly.

    I'm no...

Glad to hear it, harvc! Closbar, I don't know what to tell you. These types of installations can be a bit tricky for a newcomer to linux (if that is what you are - please excuse me if I am wrong!)...

  16. Re: HOW TO: Install Canon Pixma mx410 wireless printer

Hey Landersohn - I did this on my 10.04 32bit and it worked. Don't see why it would hang on 64bit.
I'm not sure what happened on yours but I know that I started the way you ended - by installing...
