  1. [ubuntu] Re: DirectoryIndex issues inside of cgi-bin subdirectory

Thanks for the link. Didn't really help, but it did get me started on googling things related to cgi and htaccess files, etc. and I found something that works:

    <Directory "/var/www/fb/">

  2. [ubuntu] [SOLVED] DirectoryIndex issues inside of cgi-bin subdirectory

I'm having an extremely stubborn issue with Apache(2). I can't get it to load an index.pl file from inside of a cgi-bin directory. DirectoryIndex seems to respond correctly inside of a normal static...

Re: Ok, p_quarles, I'm questioning you here

In the OMG poniez forum. To be clear, I'm not arguing for reinstatement of the thread. It obviously was viewed as an inappropriate post by a mod (and I would have gladly deleted had he requested). I...

Ok, p_quarles, I'm questioning you here

You asked me in the pm to post here if I had further questions. I'd like to understand how I was not an active poster or not in good standing that excludes me from the clear second sentence of the...
  6. Waiting for any one of a few processes to finish

I'm writing a program that will be given a handful of process ids to monitor and when any one of them finishes, I want to know. Obviously a fork and waitpid will work for one process, but I will have...

    Re: MySQL/MythWeb Problem

What's in your /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt file? Make sure the password there is the same. (No guarantees this will fix the problem though.)

Re: cannot open vm in vmware server

Can you post the vmx file? You should be able to comment out certain options to get it work under the "lesser" vmware. I might be able to help you here.

Re: Existing Gutsy install in QEMU

You'll need to change the xorg.conf file in the vm. The driver section will need to be changed. To what? I don't know, since 99% of my VM experience is with vmware (where the driver would be...

    Re: vmware issue

Check if the driver in the Fedora xorg.conf file is "vmware" and not something else. If it's not strictly an X problem, post the errors you're getting here.

    Re: Ubuntu Locking Up

It shouldn't affect anything else (caveat: I also don't think it should've made your system lock up, so there's always a chance something will go wrong ;) ).

I think what you're recalling is that...

Re: free ct tv guide data?

Hey, I tried using xmltv, but was disappointed to find out it's just another "schedules direct" related thing where you must pay a fee to use it (inside the US). Am I mistaken in this belief?

    And...

I'm in the process of creating my own homegrown channel listings guide retriever. If you poke around the mythtv database, you'll need to look at the program table. Looks to be pretty straightforward....

    Re: Ubuntu Locking Up

If it's a trend that vmmon has a log entry before it locks up, it's probably the culprit. You might try rebuilding those drivers again using:

    sudo /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl

Re: Need to move VM to physical machine.

I would do a live boot on the target machine and from inside of that, partition the disk and create the file systems corresponding to those on the VM. Be sure to run mkswap on the swap partition.

  18. Re: Ubuntu VMWare guest from physical partition can't start.

If you think it's the nvidia driver, you should edit your xorg.conf file in the guest OS and change the driver to "vmware" instead of "nv" or "nvidia". If you have specific options set in that...
