    I have noticed that the LiveCDs of Ubuntu 7.10, 8.04, 8.04 installed with Wubi, and also openSUSE 10.3 and Fedora Core 9 cannot recogize all of my hard disks at once.

    If you go to the folder /host, you can access the Windows drive Ubuntu is installed on. Shared stuff is in Documents and Settings somewhere.
