how did you extract it and how did you apply it? I have similar problem on a vaio with lucid -- mine runs an ati card but the screen EDID / DDC is a sony botch job

just to confirm you have a vaio E-series VPCEB1se1 (European model ?), with hd ready display and you managed to get it work under 9.10, if so I recommend you do not upgrade to lucid directly as a lot...
