I just installed flashplugin-nonfree and logged into the guest account... no AD yet. :\

i just updated the system and restarted but it seems that target.com's home-page advertisement is still a white box. (which somehow is on top of the department's dropdown menus)
the windows viruses really didn't affect anything (except maybe take up a couple megs of space)

i should have mentioned it before; these are two different machines. it seems like unmounting the hdd worked. but vista is still vista... ;_; (says the device needs to be checked or something)

this is an external (usb) harddrive (as descibed in the topic). I may be seeing the problem now; i haven't been 'unmounting' the device before unpluggind (haven't had to before).
