[ubuntu] Re: How to reset network-manager?

This is exactly the same problem I have. I tried reinstalling Ubuntu (Lucid) but the problem persists exactly as before.
  2. [SOLVED] Re: After reinstalling, how do I relink my separate /home partition?

Thanks so much to everyone for your help. I tried all of those things and after a reboot, everything is working as it should be. Much appreciated!
  3. [SOLVED] Re: After reinstalling, how do I relink my separate /home partition?

Thanks so much for replying with such clear instructions! Unfortunately, the first problem persists (but at least that means the second partition is being used as the /home directory, as hoped). I...
  4. [SOLVED] After reinstalling, how do I relink my separate /home partition?

I've looked around at posts about how to do this but it seems most people are not having exactly the same problem as me, and much of the discussion goes well over my head. The story is that I...

[ubuntu] Re: usb external hard drive, can't delete files

I have this same problem. Because of that I haven't been backing up to my USB drive and have since lost a lot of things because apparently openoffice isn't very consistent with saving things. Odd.

    [ubuntu] Several upgrade issues

Or rather, I didn't do a normal upgrade as I went straight from 8.04 to 9.04 (I started on Ubuntu with that version quite recently), which was mostly okay because I had very few files to back up...
