compiz stopped working...

ive tried restarting the computer and tried changing the interface option at login (where its says 'ubuntu' and 'ubuntu 2d')

i did an update recently if that might be...

that worked!!! and i feel a bit silly :P

i tried that... it installed fine and i can see the compiz settings manager, but none of the effects are working :(

well basically it will not update... nothings comes up on the update manager and when i sudo apt-get update, it gives an error.

hi im new to programming on ubuntu but not to programming in general.

im trying to compile a openGL program with eclipse but then i try to run the project it says:

"launch failed. binary not...

IT WORKED!! but its weird I had to install ia32-libs because my desktop is also 64-bit.

ive read the readme several times and tried the way your suggesting :P ... it gives me:

which is weird...

hmm... it doesnt say file not found but it still isnt running the executable :s

@ubuntu:~/q/l32$ sudo ./q
@ubuntu:~/q/l32$

if it help the program im trying to run is the q programming...

that gives me...

it says q so i must be in the right directory right? :s

is it possible to copy filesystem from 64bit to external HD, install 32bit, replace 32bit filesystem with the copy of filesystem from 64 bit?

i want to keep all my files an programs... files are easy to copy to external HD but the programs are going to be a pain i cant even remember them all (not to mention things like conky settings,...
