hey,i installed the driver from the above file and it worked for me. give it a shot and see. it's normal to see warnings when you run the makefile command, it's only errors you have to worry about.

The instructions that came along with the driver from Ralink site were good, but for a n00b like me, were a bit too much as some modifications required root...

Problem solved. Sorta.

I Had to remove the 64 bit installation and install 32 bit version of ubuntu 10.10. Wireless works perfect now. must be a 64 bit incompatibility with drivers.

Anyone with any suggestions?
