    I like XFCE, great resource management. I also use Gnome a lot, I have used both it for as long as I can remember, based on the specs of the computer I have at the time.

    What has worked for me is the reverse you are doing. I keep Windows as my boot system and virtualize Linux. I tried the other way but it always gave me problems.

    I am mostly concerned about privacy in Ubuntu, it seems you are asked for more and more personal data every time, of course it is optional but it works better when you provide your real data.
