    first identify the drive you want to mount with:
    sudo fdisk -l

    you should get back something like this:

    I also have had this problem with the latest Ubuntu. I have no idea why its happening but it is easily mounted from terminal. Other than that I dont know what to tell you.

    ok, after logging out of the new profile has the same result. It just hangs on startup. this occurs over and over, create a new profile from failsafe term, reboot, then the profile no longer works....
