ran this command "sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-*" and it seems to be updating now... Will report back no matter what.

It's from the normal "Software Updater" program. Says "The software on this computer is up to date. However 13.10 is now avalible. (You have 13.04). Then I get the 'Could not calculate' error...

I ran the script but it only downloaded 3 of the 4 needed files. When I type 'sudo update-manager' I recive this error:

It's usually like this:
/home/username/Desktop

Now it thinks Home is desktop
and also my user directory is Desktop. Everything I download goes to is saved to the desktop... It seems to think...

are you using wifi if so that may be your problem. When I was duel booting with XP and Ubuntu. XP seemed to always connect at higher speeds. I did some forums reading to find out the Ubuntu wifi...
