Yes - I had tried installing those two, as well as doing a pip install of pycairo and apt-installing the python3-cairo package. No luck so far... still shows the same two errors.

Found one more thing to throw into the instructions: Looks like there's a pre-req for libvlccore-dev. Without it, the phonon-vlc package fails to build.
