I have Z60m and agree with everything you wrote. I like those sweet red button:) My friend has it on Dell Inspirion _some_nums_ and it isn't so good as Thinkpad's.

I can't say that this is caused by switching to Open Source software, but I stopped smoking, changed coffee with tea, started training martial arts, changed hardtechno with mantras, started to eat...
Here they come again:) If you don't like it, don't use it and don't complain. If you have no knowlegde or will to learn or even ask us to help you (and we do that all the time), pay for your software...
xfce is much better, faster, less dependencies... And it could be even nicer, but it isn't imortant anyway
I have Windows in vmware beacuse I need Matlab(exactly matlab:/, could not get it work on linux) for some colleage activities... only for that
Developers are still fixing and doing other stuff with 16... DR17 will probably never went into stable:/ it likes to broke:))
