    Actually, there is .. KDE uses KDE applications and GNOME uses GNOME applications. They are not identical and some things may differ ( though, nothing too big to confuse you ;) ).

    Verbose output still gives me an empty line.
    You say, you wouldn't accept ping floods .. Flood means what ? What's the difference between doing flood with 1sec. intervals and ping with 1 sec...

    I see only .deb files and empty partial folder. Where I can find metapackage information ? For example, if I've downlodaed ubuntu-restricted-extras, flash-plugin/unrar/etc....

    I would suggest you to install mysql-admin and restore your database from there. phpMyAdmin is good only if you need to create/delete/populate databases, not to restore/backup them ;)
