  1. [SOLVED] Re: Toshiba p100 Nvidia GPU overheating FIX (hardy heron)

I noticed that if I boot Windows, login and then restart into Ubuntu (9.10) all my overheating problems disappear.

I've also recompiled a kernel with the DSDT patch, but the system is working...

[all variants] karmic NVIDIA GPU OVERHEATING!

Since karmic, my toshiba laptop won't load its custom and fixed DSDT, therefore the laptop runs the GPU as high as 120 degrees. Is there any easy way to load a custom dsdt and avoid overheating?
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Running Karmic (Release) with kernel 2.6.30.x possible?

that would also help people who cannot load a custom dsdt anymore (my gpu is overheating since 2.6.31 as I cannot fix toshiba's buggy bios).

  9. [ubuntu] without custom DSDT, karmic brings my GPU to 120 degrees!

As the kernel option to load a custom DSDT is not present anymore in Karmic, my GPU on a toshiba p100 goes as high as 120 degrees. The custom DSDT always fixed the problem in the past (toshiba...

Re: HOWTO Fix A Buggy DSDT File

I've seen that, but toshiba will never fix the DSDT.

I can't use my laptop without the DSDT fix. I've tried http://gaugusch.at/kernel.shtml but it does not work with 2.6.31-14.
