Are DBUS and HAL installed? There is a known issue (well, kinda) in X that says it uses Hal (which uses DBUS) to find KB/Mouse. So do a
su -c'pacman -S hal dbus' and make sure that in the DAEMONS...

Use a partition editor (gparted) to remove the Vista partition and go from there. Not sure if you can make Ubuntu partition bigger tho

You can use Ubuntu's binary drivers, which are pretty well point-click-type-go for the install. Just use System->Administration->Hardware Drivers ((I THINK, may be other name)) and go from there!
I did that in Hardy..... took me 3 days to figure it out. Eventually I removed the nVidia one and installed Ubuntu's nVidia =)
I used Fedora Core 6 at the age of 9, because my Windows XP machine died. But soon I realized how much "easier" it was. So I ended up using Ubuntu and Fedora in Virtual Machines till I got my own...

I dont run OS X, but ran Leopard on a friends Mac for a few days, and its in Sys Pref's network thingy - set it to Static and set IP Gateway and DNS instead of DHCP

Will it run in Wine? Note that Im in Win XP SP3 atm so cant see, but I read sometimes yes sometimes no. I am happy with using command line and extra repo's to make it work, btw :popcorn:

OK, there's a lot of reports on how ugly GTK apps look in KDE. There are two simple fixes. One will make GTK apps look exactly as they do in GNOME. You need to tell KDE to autostart
